Founded in 1966, BEOC provides tuition free academic and career training to over 
1600 New York residents annually.

EOC Eligibility Requirements 

Minimum eligibility requirements for BEOC programs and services are set by the University Center for Academic and Workforce Development (UCAWD).

All applicants to BEOC must meet minimum eligibility requirements for consideration.
Applicants must be:
  • 18 years of age or older (17 w/high school diploma, GED or TASC Diploma)
  • US Citizen, Permanent Resident or Refugee
  • Resident of NY State for at least 1 year prior to enrollment
  • High School Diploma or GED/TASC diploma required for all career and college prep applicants
  • Low to moderate income
  • Individuals with greater than 33 college credits or a college degree are not eligible
