Ice Skating Arena

 
The Benito & District Recreation Centre Arena is a natural ice skating arena that is a flurry of activity during the winter months.

 FREE Public Skating

Our local community Elk’s Club and Knights of Columbus sponsor FREE Public Skating for all of us to enjoy on Wednesday and Friday evenings from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.  A great way to stay physically active and have fun!
CHILDREN NEED to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian!
Concession is also open during these times.

CONCESSION NEEDS VOLUNTEERS TO OPERATE.  IF YOU ARE INTERESTED PLEASE ASK ABOUT OUR "SIGN UP" CALENDAR in the KITCHEN.
 
 Benito Figure Skating Club

The first lesson will start on Friday, December 13th at 4:30 p.m. at the Benito Rec. Centre and will run Fridays in the weeks to follow.  Programs offered are “Learn to Skate” , Power Skating and Figure Skating.  There will also be a short parent meeting at this time.  If you have any questions, please contact Tiffany Shatsko.

 

Kenville Flyers Hockey Team

The Kenville Flyers invade and try to dominate the arena for weekly Thursday games.  Come out and watch!  Admission is FREE...the entertainment is PRICELESS!
There are wings and beverages upstairs in the lounge to follow.




Benito School Activities
The students of Benito School utalize the skating ice for K-4 school skating, and Grades 5-8 have been enjoying Broomball. 

 
Rentals
The ice arena is available to rent for hockey games, birthday parties, family gatherings, corporate events and more.  In the summer, the arena has been the venue for horse team penning and other exhibition events.
