About Us

Salmon Run is a collaboration of ideas and efforts by many people and organizations.

The event is officially organized by Baggers & Hawgs Ride to Live Association which is a B.C. registered non-profit society.  This Society was formed by some members (Kathey & Kevin Coutee, Greg Ginter, Alan Novotny) of a Meetup group known as Vancouver Harley Davidson Baggers & Hawgs Den (www.hawgsden.com) with the help of Michael Hwang of Amicus Lawyers.  The same group started the Sunday Motorcycle Brunch Ride in downtown New Westminster in 2010 which has become an annual Motorcycle Safety Month Awareness Ride on the first Sunday of May.  The plan for the Salmon Run is to be held on the third Sunday of September each year to celebrate the wild salmon run in B.C., and perhaps to many, to mark the end of the motorcycle season in Vancouver.  However, it is an open public event and your suggestions, ideas and contributions are welcome.
It was easy to launch this event with the support of Trev Deeley Motorcycles which used to sponsor an annual ride to Squamish called "Rumble to the Rock".  Darwin Osarchuk (General Manager of TDM) enthusiastically welcomed this idea and empowered Mike Bellegarde (Promotions & Marketing Coordinator) to be committed to this cause.

Like most events, this began with two friends talking and spreading the word.  We invite you to share this event with your friends.
