Barton, Vermont is located off of US HWY 91, just 20 miles south of the U.S. / Canadian border. The Pierce House Museum is located at 97 Water Street in Barton Vermont, just up the street from Barton Academy. Parking is available along Water Street. 

The museum is open Saturdays and Sundays, June through September, from 1 PM to 3 PM or by appointment. Call (802) 522-6010 for an appointment. We will always be happy to open for you. 

There is also a short hiking path, known locally as The Brick Kingdom Trail that spans the waterfalls behind the museum. On the trail you will see the ruins of factories that once dominated the industrial center of the village. You will also see beautiful wildflowers and plants native to the area. 

The Brick Kingdom Trail is open from sunrise to sunset. Please help us keep the trail clean by removing any trash you bring with you. 

There are two entrances to the Brick Kingdom Trail, one by the Chronicle and the other is by E.M. Brown, both a short distance from the museum. Parking is along Water Street. 

In the museum gift shop, you can buy t-shirts, baseball caps, vintage postcards, an 1800s Bird's Eye View of Barton poster, and A History of Barton, Vermont, written by local historian Darlene Young.
