General Information

Team Mission: To provide students in grades 6-12, who have the desire to mountain bike, being coached to achieve both competitive and non-competitive cross-country mountain biking goals in a safe manner, and enjoy the camaraderie with team sports. To introduce students to bicycling as a potential lifelong activity.

Team Structure: Club sport formed under the Parks and Recreation Department, City of Austin. Monthly meetings July through October and as needed. Off-season meetings as determined by the club officers.

Formal Season: July through October

Races: (5 races total)

Race 1: August 26-27, Schidler's Way Trail, Austin, MN

Race 2: September 23-24, Theodore Wirth Trail, Minneapolis, MN

Race 3: September 30-October 1, Gamehaven, Rochester, MN

Race 4: October 7-8, Whitetail Ridge, River Falls, WI

Race 5: October 14-15, State Championships, Mankato, MN 

Race Length: 3-5 mile laps (1 lap, time trial format)

Practices: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 6 to 7:30 pm. Practice times will changes as the days shorten in the fall.

High School Lettering: Each participating high school has specific requirements to determine individual eligibility.
