Hello. I am Mohammad Asif Zaman. I am currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). I completed my B.Sc. and M.Sc. studies from the same department. For my B.Sc. thesis, I worked on the design of dual feed Cassegrain antenna with a dichroic subreflector. In my M.Sc. thesis, I worked on an alternative design and optimization method of shaped dual reflector antennas utilizing Uniform Theory of Diffraction (UTD), Physical Optics (PO) and Differential Evolution Optimization Algorithm. My research interests include, Antennas and Propagation, Computational Electromagnetics, Scattering Theory, Numerical Analysis and Evolutionary Optimization Algorithms. I am particularly interested in applying various numerical techniques and optimization methods for solving Electromagnetic Scattering problems and antenna applications.

This website contains my academic and professional information. It also contains information for students regarding the courses I am taking as a teacher. Questions, solutions and marks of class tests/lab tests and important announcements are uploaded in this site.

I am currently on study leave (since August 2014). I am doing my PhD studies at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Stanford University, CA, USA.
