Lab Report format (Semester July, 2014):

Lab reports must be submitted in pdf format to both course teachers. Students are requested use my gmail account only. The subject of the email and the name of the pdf file should be same.

Use the format: B2_212_E##_1106###

Report work for Interpolation Experiment:

Explain the algorithm of Newton's interpolation. For the following data points, use Newton's interpolation to generate a smooth curve: (-1, 2), (0, 1), (1,-2), (2, 3), (3, 6). Show the figures. Include the code in your report as well.

Do not send the code only. Write a proper report with necessary description.

Submission deadline: Aug 21, 2014

Lab Report format (Semester February, 2013):

Lab reports must be submitted in pdf format to both course teachers. Students are requested use my gmail account only (check: Contact Information). The subject of the email and the name of the pdf file should be same.

For section C1 students: Use the format: C1_212_E##_1006###

For section C2 students: Use the format: C2_212_E##_1006###

Students must submit only the pdf file. The MATLAB codes should be inside the report.

The report should contain brief description of the algorithm and techniques used to solve the problem and sample output of the program. The figures from MATLAB should be exported in emf format.

Incredible People:

Georg Friedrich Bernhard Riemann (1826 – 1866)

“If only I had the theorems! Then I should find the proofs easily enough.”

Bernhard Riemann was one of the leading mathematicians of the nineteenth century. In his short career, he introduced ideas of fundamental importance in complex analysis, real analysis, differential geometry, number theory, and other subjects. His work in differential geometry provided the mathematical basis for the general theory of relativity. Riemann's name is associated with what is probably the most important unproved conjecture in present-day mathematics, the Riemann hypothesis. This is of fundamental importance for the distribution of prime numbers and encryption algorithms.
