Spring Table-Scaping Contest Info/Rules

Limited Entries available on first-come, first-served basis for Spring-themed tablescapes to be featured at our next event. Tea patrons will judge and comment for the Award of top 3 prizes: $100, $50, $25. Tablescapes may be offered through silent auction at the end of the event if agreeable to the artist as a charitable donation. Benefits to Kathy’s Garden Fund.

Contest Rules:

1.Be creative and have fun.

2.Entry form must be legible and complete in order to be accepted. Limited space

3. FAWM reserves the right to reject any table setting that is objectionable or unsuitable. Must be suitable for all audience’s PG in nature

4.Any person age 13 or older may enter.

5. Tables furnished by the museum are a Card table Square table has 27.5"H x 33.25"L x 33.25"D with white covering

6. The Table-scaping Contest is open to individuals or a group. Table is to be set by one (1) person with assistance of only one (1) other person, if needed.

6A: Doors Open at 9:00 am the day of contest. Tables MUST be complete and ready to be judged by 1:00 PM

6B Judging will begin at 1:30 by our tea patrons and Tea will begin at 2:00pm

6C: Contest participants planning on joining us for tea must purchase tea tickets in advance.

6D All items must be remove following closure of event by 5:00 pm on Saturday April 25, 2020

7. All tables are to be set for a minimum of four (4) places. Dishes for main course only; tea cups for all courses and utensils for all courses.

8.No food permitted on tables, other then what is provided by FAWM.

9.Center is approx. 12x12. Center display must be viewable on all sides with a max of 3 ft in height. Battery lights and accessories are acceptable. No electrical features.

10. The design/display can extend the entire table, but leave room for guest to comfortably enjoy their tea.

11. Any decorative material must be safe to have near food (fresh, fake or edible etc.)

12. Optional Use of our China, utensils, tea cups, napkins. Items must be selected prior to event (schedule a time to look)

13. If you bring your own service wear the items must be provided to us in advance so we can perform food safe cleaning (schedule a time)

14.You may provide us with any special information for our judges (i.e. anything that is handmade or needs additional explanation).

15. The Judges’ comments are displayed with each entry.

16. If you wish for your table design to be available for silent auction please indicate on your registration form in detail of the items included in your design.

17. Tables will be judged on their creativity, presentation, usability.

Prizes for the top 3 contestants:

1st $100.00 2nd $50.00 3rd 25.00 and will be presented and the conclusion of the tea event approximately 4:00 pm on April 25, 2020
