Arran Tara Fall Fair
Tuesday Sept.10, 2019(Evening)
6 30 pm to 9 30 pm
Wednesday Sept. 11, 2019 all Day
The Arran Tara Fall Fair is an annual event held each September in our community. It marks the start of the fall season and traditionally has been an event to showcase agriculture and the rural way of life that so many of us enjoy. The fair has evolved from an agriculture event to one that is enjoyed by so many families in Tara and the surrounding communities. Young and old alike look forward to the annual event. Whether you're interested in the home craft exhibits to the livestock shows or lawnmower races, there is something for all fair goers.
Each year the fair is organized by members and directors of the Arran Tara Agricultural Society. Not unlike other organizations, the society is looking for new faces to join the board and lend a helping hand. Without more volunteers, the fair that has been tradition in Tara for so many years may not be viable in the future. We need help and that help has to come from within our community. You may think a couple of hours of your time won't help the fair, but it will. Giving time to a committee that is of interest to you or creating a new fair idea is a rewarding way to give back to the fair.
You don't have to be a director to help with a committee. But we do need committees to make the fair happen. For this fair to continue, we need your help. Please think about attending our monthly meeting (2nd Tuesday of the month at 8pm at the Arkwright Hall). Every person can make a difference.
If you have questions, ideas or would like to get involved, please contact the
