Nancy supports health plans, hospitals and physician organizations with network development and implementation, market analysis and new product development. She has been involved in Medicare risk plans since their inception and with Medicaid, dual-eligible and special programs as well. She provided interim management services to a PACE (Program for All-Inclusion Care for Elders) and negotiates on behalf of safety net providers.
Nancy has spent over 25 years leading managed care development and operations. She directed early efforts with Blue Cross of Massachusetts to enter the HMO arena, and designed systems to integrate with the plan’s indemnity operations. Nancy also served as
Associate Regional Vice President for FHP, Inc., creating its Northern Californian provider network and customer relations function and assisting in its acquisition of TakeCare Health Plan. Nancy directed a 600-physician PPO contracting group that she transitioned to a “Messenger Model” to meet FTC regulations.
Nancy is the Board Governance chair at the Women's Therapy Center in Berkeley, CA, and Vice President, Membership, of Congregation Beth El in Berkeley, CA. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She holds a master's degree in health planning from Boston College and an MBA from St. Mary's College in Moraga, CA.
