The Drysdale and Clifton Springs Community Association initiated the Festival of Glass as a way to promote the area’s social, cultural and economic life. As the Festival has grown, it has benefited an increasing number of local businesses by:
- buying goods and services from local businesses
- promoting the work of local commercial glass artists – through the Festival Expo and The Glass Trail
- bringing several thousand visitors to Drysdale for the Festival Expo and encouraging them to explore local commercial attractions such as wineries, cafes, olive farms and shops
- running a Treasure Hunt that enables local business to increase custom by displaying pieces of glass art commissioned from local glass artists.
