Piano Lessons‎ > ‎

Studio Policies 2017-2018

  • Tuition rates depend on the length of the lesson which are given in 30 minutes, 45 minutes or one hour duration.

  • Tuition for lessons is payable in full by the first lesson of the month. A late fee will be assessed if payment is not received after the 10th of the month.
  • Lessons can be terminated at will anytime by either teacher or student. If lessons are terminated before the end of the month, no refund will be given. Teacher reasons include but not limited to the following: utter disregard of authority, not practicing, frequent absenteeism and cancellations.

  • VACATION POLICY: For students who are absent for an extended period of time of more than 2 weeks during a calendar year, the teacher reserves the right to offer the time slot to another student. This means that the slot may not be available for the student when the student returns. In order to guarantee a particular time slot, full lesson fees must be paid to reserve a slot.

  • PRACTICE ROUTINE. To ensure continued progress and success, it is advised that the student maintain a focused, goal-oriented, and motivated practice routine. Parents' involvement is an important element in making a difference.

  • INSTRUMENT REQUIREMENT: An 88-key weighted keyboard is the minimum requirement. A home-based upright or grand acoustic piano tuned at least once a year by a reputable piano tuner is preferred.

  • STUDY MATERIALS: Music books, supplies, sheet music can be bought at music stores or online. Borrowed materials from the studio are expected to be returned in their original condition by the due date.
