Commencement Ceremony Broadcast - May 27, 2021

A special thank you to the following individuals and local businesses for making our commencement ceremony a night to remember:

  • SLHS Film & TV Teacher Mr. Jerry Butler and his Film & TV students for broadcasting our commencement ceremony.

  • Camden Smith and iTalk radio 106.7FM for assisting with the live broadcast.

  • Mike Bosley (co-owner of The Pour Station) with his talents on the sound board. He provided opening music, sound, and emcee'ing throughout our ceremony.

  • Chris Paxman with Paxman Photography for capturing all the special moments and our professional senior photos.

  • Jay Brimhall and the City of Show Low for donating their Showmobile stage to use for the ceremony.

  • United Rentals for donating a generator for us to use during the ceremony.

  • Christopher's Gardens Nursery for donating plants to decorate the stage.

  • Arizona Mountain Rangers for providing safety and security during the event.

  • Show Low Police Department -- including our SRO's J. Butler & J. Tyra for providing police escort during the graduate motorcade.

  • Fool Hollow Lake for providing a meeting place for our graduates to embark on their motorcade to our campus.

  • Allegra Printing for donating 2,000 graduation tickets printed with custom fluorescent inks that glow in the dark!

  • Vince Herrera and Nackard Pepsi for providing our "Congratulations 2021 Graduate" banners.

  • Gwendena Lee-Gatewood - Chairwoman of the White Mountain Apache Tribe for sending over congratulatory thank you cards for every graduate.

  • SLUSD Maintenance & Grounds Crews for keeping the grass green, the field dry, and assisting with setup and tear down for this big event.

  • SLHS Custodial Staff for assisting with clean up on campus, on the field, and in the gym leading up to and after our commencement ceremony and grad night events.

  • SLHS Administrators, Teachers, and Staff who assisted in the planning and implementation of the commencement ceremony.

  • SLUSD Superintendent Housley, SLUSD Governing Board Members, and The City of Show Low Mayor for participating in our ceremony.

Communication between schools, community, and families can often be difficult. With so many options we want parents to know where to find essential information concerning their child's experience at SLUSD. The following forms of communication are used to communicate information to our families:

  • District website:

  • Click here to view the new SLUSD Information Page for news releases, Facebook LIVE videos, and other helpful resources.

  • Mass emails sent through PowerSchool: Labeled from Show Low Schools (ensure these are not going to junk or spam within your email service and that your email is up to date with your child's school)

  • Local radio station PSA or emergency notifications

  • Robo calls and text messages

  • Please send your feedback to and one of our staff members will follow up with you.

** To ensure families receive communication from the district or their child's school, it is important all contact information is updated and reflects any changes in address, phone number, and email address. Families should communicate any changes to this information to avoid gaps in receiving correspondence from the school.
