Religious Education

Religious Education is a major component of our school's way of life. You have shown a concern for the Christian formation and Catholic Education of your child by enrolling him/her in our school, this concern must be on-going. We have only a share in the fuller responsibility which belongs to you as a parent. Please continue your interest, particularly by bringing your child to Mass and the Sacraments and setting an example in Christian ideals.

Every Wednesday, two classes attend the 9:30am Mass across the road at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Parish. Children at school will attend Wednesday Mass once every month. Every term, we celebrate a special school mass with our Parish Community. This is held on a Sunday at 9.00am.

Celebrations - Full school masses are celebrated once a term. These are celebrated at the Church.

Baptism - Children who wish to be baptised please contact Sharyn Tilley or our school Priest Monsignor Frank at St. Mary's Star of the Sea.

First Communion and Confirmation - Our director of Religious Studies, Sharyn Tilley, delivers a parish-based programme to students who wish to receive the Confirmation Sacrament. This is a 10 week programme, that begins in Term 1. Students are required to attend weekly sessions at St. Mary's School from 2:45 to 3:45.
