Ripon High School Drama Club Announces Performances of “Little Women: The Broadway Musical”

Ripon, Wisconsin - The Ripon High School Drama Club is pleased to announce performance dates for its 2025 spring musical: Little Women: The Broadway Musical.

Performances of Little Women features two main casts from Ripon High School performing on alternating shows, which will take place in the High School Auditorium (850 Tiger Drive) on Thursday, February 13th at 7:00 P.M. (Louisa Cast), Friday, February 14th at 7:00 P.M. (Alcott Cast), and Saturday, February 15th at 2:00 P.M. (Louisa Cast) and 7:00 P.M. (Alcott Cast) Tickets are available for $10 for General Admission, $5 for Students and Teachers. Cast and ticket sale information can be found at sites.google.com/ripon.k12.wi.us/drama. Tickets can be purchased in advance online or in person at the box office at each performance.

Two casts, one tale of love and sisterhood.

Based on Louisa May Alcott's life, Little Women follows the adventures of sisters, Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March. Jo is trying to sell her stories for publication, but the publishers are not interested – her friend, Professor Bhaer, tells her that she has to do better and write more from herself. Begrudgingly taking this advice, Jo weaves the story of herself and her sisters and their experience growing up in Civil War America.

Little Women has been praised by critics for its ambition in adapting such a well-known story for the stage. This timeless, captivating story is brought to life in this glorious musical that soars with the sounds of personal discovery, heartache, hope, everlasting love – the sounds of a young America finding its voice.

Little Women embodies the complete theatrical experience, guaranteeing a night filled with laughter, tears and a lifting of the spirit.

The Ripon High School Drama Club performs a fall play and spring musical each year. Performances take place in the high school auditorium. Drama Club encourages participation and growth in the performing arts, and students are encouraged to get involved in a variety of ways, including acting, stage crew, lighting, sound, set, props, and costumes.
