Canvas Student and Staff Support

All students and staff have an account in Canvas. Students and staff can access Canvas by logging in with their District Google account: https://lgsuhsd.instructure.com/login/saml or by clicking the Canvas icon in their Google Apps waffle.

If you have questions or need help, go to the main Canvas page and click the help button at the bottom. Tech support will respond as soon as possible.

  1. Open the Canvas app.

  2. Tap Find Your School or District.

  3. Type Los Gatos-Saratoga UHSD (Students) tap the full name appears in the search list

  4. Sign in using your School Google account.

Canvas Parent Accounts

The Canvas URL for parents is: https://lgsuhsd.instructure.com/login/canvas

Parents can create a Canvas account to observe their student's courses. Please follow the Parent Portal Instructions to create your account. You cannot set this feature up on a mobile device, such as an smartphone. However, it can be used on a mobile device once it is set up on a computer.

To observe a second student in Canvas - login using your parent Canvas account:

Go to Account---Settings--Observing

Enter the Student Pairing Code

Click the +Student button and follow the prompts to add student.

Open the Canvas app.

  1. Tap Find Your School or District.

  2. Type Los Gatos-Saratoga UHSD tap the full name appears in the search list

  3. Enter your email address and password, and tap Login

  4. On the verification page, tap Log In.

  5. Your Canvas dashboard will open.
