Mr. Queenan joined High Technology High School in September 2020. He comes to HTHS with a background in Genetics and Molecular Biology. Mr. Queenan earned a B.A. in both Genetics and History from Rutgers University in 2007, where he was a Henry Rutgers Research Fellow. He earned his M.S. with Thesis in Molecular Biology from Montclair State University in 2009. Mr. Queenan has earned his Supervisor License and is working towards his Principals License through the NJ EXCEL program, with an anticipated completion date of January 2026.
Mr. Queenan has interned as an Associate Scientist at Sanofi-Aventis in Bridgewater, NJ. He also spent 6 years working as a Research Technologist for the Bergen County Academies (part of the Bergen County Technical and Vocational School District), where he worked in assisting students with independent research, developing curriculum for new research programs, and leading research in the schools electron microscopy and imaging facility.
He currently resides in Point Pleasant Boro, NJ, with his wife and two sons.
