Welcome to the Westchester School Counseling Website!
Hi Westchester! My name is Rebecca Peacock and I am so excited to be your full-time school counselor! Pictured on the left, is my not-so-little-anymore dog, Toby, and my husband Alan, who is the school counselor at Talley Street Elementary.
I have a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Tennessee, a Master's in Education in School Counseling from Georgia State University, and an Education Specialist degree in Professional Counseling and Supervision from the University of West Georgia. I am also a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor working towards full licensure and a Play Therapy certification.
When I am not working, I enjoy hiking, exploring new restaurants, crafting, and cheering on the Tennessee VOLS!
As your school counselor, I provide:
Academic, behavioral, and social/emotional support through short term, individual counseling and/or small group sessions.
Classroom counseling lessons that focus on character education, social skills, careers, study/test-taking skills, coping skills, conflict resolution, safety and other topics to support students' complete development to be successful now and in the future.
Teacher consultations to wrap all students in holistic support.
Parent consultations to support the family system.
Crisis counseling and referrals to outside agencies when needed.
