Concussion Training
Two Accepted Certifications!
In our efforts to afford all administrators (coaches, assistance coaches, team moms, and board members) the ability to comply with this state regulation, CalSouth has approved acceptance of two online educational concussion certificate for your coaches, assistant coaches and team administrators. Administrators only need to have at least one of these approved certificates mentioned below.
CDC Heads Up Concussion:
CDC Heads Up Concussion module is an online course with a duration of about 30 minutes in length. You will need to create a profile account with their system and be sent an email confirmation to be able to start the course. Once complete, you will be able to save and print the certificate. National Federation of High Schools (NFHS):
National Federation of High Schools (NFHS) has partnered with the Center of Disease Control (CDC) to offer Concussion in Sports courses. You can create a profile within that website and will quickly be able to order a course. Their certificate will always remain within that account and can be printed as well.
