Welcome to my site!

I am an Associate Professor of Technology and Operations at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

My primary research interest is in Algorithmic and Prescriptive Business Analytics, with a focus on developing effective and
efficient approximate solutions for complex, sometimes large-scale, business analytics problems using tools from probability, statistics, machine learning, computer science, and engineering optimization. I have worked on a variety of problems covering a wide range of topics including:
  • Revenue management and pricing analytics
  • Marketing and web analytics
  • Supply chain and inventory management
  • Retail, omni-channel and e-commerce logistics
  • On-demand business analytics
  • Online learning and optimization
Please visit my research page for more information about my past, recent and ongoing research projects.

I am currently serving as an Associate Editor for Management Science and Naval Research Logistics (NRL), and a Senior Editor for Production and Operations Management (POM).

Prior to joining Ross, I studied for my bachelor degree at the University of California at Berkeley, and masters and PhD degrees at Stanford
University. I was fortunate to have been advised by Sunil Kumar during my graduate study.
