Retake Information

Scientists learn from their mistakes ... So retakes are encouraged! You may retake one learning objective at a time, multiple learning objectives, or a whole assessment.

In order to be eligible for a retake, you must:
1. Demonstrate that all notes for that learning objective are filled in in your notebook.
2. Complete ALL practice problems for that learning objective in your notebook (and confirm that they are done correctly).
3. Correct your first assessment:
On a separate piece of paper:
        - Write out the learning objective, question, and correct answer.
        - Explain in words why the correct answer is correct. What did you do to find that answer? How do you know it's right?
Provide evidence by showing your work, citing a source, and/or explaining your mistake in words to convince me that you
            now understand the correct answer.
        - Staple this paper to the top of your original assessment and turn both in together.
        - Each correctly corrected assessment question will be awarded 1/2 credit. For example: If you got 2 out of 5 (40%) correct
on one learning objective and you corrected it, your new corrected score could be 2 + 1/2 + 1/2 + 1/2 = 3.5 out of 5
            (70%).
4. If your corrections are returned to you with a checkmark and all of the above are complete, you are eligible for a retake!
