Message from RCA President Bill Deysher:
"As my family and I are in the process of moving from Ridgeleigh for work related reasons, I will not be able to serve again as president of the RCA. I have enjoyed my terms as president and would like to thank everyone in the neighborhood with whom I've worked with over the years. I look forward to working with the next RCA board in order to do whatever I can to assist with the transition. If you care about the neighborhood and would like to be involved with improving and maintaining it, then I strongly encourage you to consider running for an office or perhaps joining a committee in May."
Thanks again for supporting the Ridgeleigh Community.

Petition to stop the Royal Farms Development in Ridgeleigh

posted Aug 18, 2016, 7:56 PM by Vice President   [ updated Aug 18, 2016, 7:59 PM ]

The Ridgeleigh Community Association Board of Directors has requested that the Baltimore County Council vote against the Comprehensive Zoning Map Process (CZMP) issue 5-021.  The purpose of this rezoning is to allow the development of a Royal Farms Store with 16 fuel pumps, 8 kiosks, 63 parking spaces, and 5,000 square feet of convenience store on the property.  We are opposed to this development because of the traffic implications, the effects it would have on local businesses, the unsuitability of development for the revitalization zone, and the urban design and streetscape issues.

Here's our position on the issue to be subitted to the Baltimore County Council:

Here's a map of the proposed development:

The board of the Associates of Loch Raven Villiage and Knettishaw are also opposed to this proposed development.  PLEASE if you live in the area that will be affected by this sign this online petition to let the County Council Members know where you stand on this issue.  Here's the link to the online petition:
