Frisbee Golf

Frisbee Golf Rules

OBJECT:

Students will attempt to score the lowest number of attempted throws with a Frisbee at 9 target ‘Holes’ spread over the school campus while avoiding obstacles in a set amount of time. Frisbee Golf can be played individually, with a partner, or in groups of four (4). It can be scored individually, or as a group scramble! A scorecard will be issued prior to starting.

COURSE:

    • NINE (9) large cones surrounded by a hula-hoop will be distributed throughout the campus grounds will designate a ‘hole.’ All cones will be labeled with a number designating the hole. Players will be distributed throughout the course to begin at different holes. A 4-Minute time limit will be used for each ‘Hole.’
    • Obstacles of both nature, and man-made structures to provide a realistic feel for sand traps and water hazards will possibly surround ‘Holes’.
    • Students begin by throwing the Frisbee in the direction of the hole, move where it lands, and throw again. This action is continued until the Frisbee has hit the target hole. Score the number of attempts and move to the next hole.
    • If students are playing as a ‘Group Scramble,’ then the closest throw from the 4 players will be used as a starting point for the next throw attempt.
    • In the event of a TIE, a “sudden death” playoff will take place with 2 Holes being selected by the tied parties. This process will continue until a winner is declared!

FOULS:

    1. Students are only allowed 2 feet in which to move in any direction when throwing to the next target hole. Violation is a 1-Stroke penalty.
    2. If the Frisbee goes out of the playing area, the Frisbee will be placed at the nearest spot on the playing field, and a 1-Stroke penalty is assessed.
    3. If a student exceeds the Time Limit for the individual hole, a 1-Stroke penalty is assessed.
