  • Sports Stars at MS 126 On March 3, 2011 the Lady Eagles, our Ericsson Girls Basketball team played against IS 318's team and WON 45 to 22.The top scorers were Lexuis with 17pts., Kemi with 11 pts., Davynna with 4 pts., and Ashley with 10 pts.  Anthony from class 611 won a contest that was sponsored through SASF and Knick's Fit.  He will be honored on March 25, 2011 during the Knicks vs. Milwaukee game.  He will also get to watch from a suite.

  • Parent Workshops: What would you like to learn about? MS 126 is developing a series of classes for parents and we need your vote.  The series of classes being discussed are:  Beginner Computer Class / Microsoft Office;Immigration;ESL English Classes.Letters will be given out so that planning can begin for a tentative start date in March.  Please contact Phyllis to learn more:  (718)782-2527, extension 1112.

  • Fun Packs for Children in Haiti The Ericsson Eagles Leo Club and classes 612 and 613 are putting together Fun Packs for children in Haiti.  They will include crayons, markers, coloring books, and puzzle books.  Please donate if you can.  For more information, contact Ms. Peggy, Ms. Guerrier, or Ms. Michel.

  • Toys for Tots     During the month of December 2010, the Ericsson Eagles Leo’s Club from John Ericsson Middle School 126, Magnet School for Environmental Engineering sponsored a “Toys for Tots” toy drive. They were able to collect over 100 toys from students, parents and staff members. All the toys collected were given out by Santa to the children of Francis of Paola Learning Center. The Ericsson Leo club members volunteered numerous hours collecting and distributing the toys. The Leo’s are supported by the Greenpoint Lions Club a non-profit organization who has worked with our students, staff and families over the past three years.
