LCPS Foundation Scholarships

The following scholarships are only open to SENIORS of Las Cruces Public School District.

APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR ALL LCPS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS IS:

11:59 P.M. OF APRIL 2, 2020.


  • THE ANITA L. SABICHI, MD MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP: It is intended that the funds will provide one $2000 (non-renewable) scholarship each year to a graduating senior who plans to major in Music at any New Mexico College or University.
  • THE TOMBAUGH GALLERY VISUAL & GRAPHIC ARTS SCHOLARSHIP: It is intended that the funds will provide one $500 (non-renewable) scholarship each year to a graduating senior who plans to pursue a career in the Visual or Graphic Arts and attend New Mexico State University or Doña Ana Community College.
  • THE LEADERSHIP LAS CRUCES LINKING HANDS ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIP: It is intended that the funds will provide one $500 (non-renewable) scholarship to two (2) graduating seniors who are participants in the LCPS Project Link and plan to attend a New Mexico College, University or accredited Vocational Program.
  • THE CTE TECHNOLOGY SCHOLARSHIP: It is intended that the funds will provide one $500 (non-renewable) scholarship each year to a graduating senior who has taken any CTE course and plans to major in Technology at any New Mexico College or University in the Fall of 2020.
  • THE BSA EAGLE SCOUT SCHOLARSHIP: It is intended that the funds will provide one $1000 (non-renewable) scholarship each year to a graduating senior who has earned the BSA Eagle Scout Rank and plans to attend any New Mexico College or University in the Fall of 2020.
  • THE DEBI ROUNDS SCHOLARSHIP: It is intended that the funds will provide one $500 (non-renewable) scholarship each year to a graduating senior who participated in marching band during his/her high school years who plans to major in music or music education at New Mexico State University in the Fall of 2020.
  • THE J. PAUL TAYLOR SCHOLARSHIP: It is intended that the funds will provide one $500 (non-renewable) scholarship each year to a graduating senior who plans to major in education at New Mexico State University in the Fall of 2020.
  • THE GREATER LAS CRUCES CHAMBER OF COMMERCE DACC SCHOLARSHIP: It is intended that the funds will provide one $500 (non-renewable) scholarship each year to a graduating senior who plans to attend Doña Ana Community College full time in the Fall of 2020.
  • THE S.A.V.E. SCHOLARSHIP: It is intended that the funds will provide one $1500 (non-renewable) scholarship each year to a graduating senior who plans to attend a New Mexico university, community college or vocational school in the Fall of 2020.
  • THE S.A.V.E. SCHOLARSHIP FOR FORMER PICACHO MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS: This scholarship is for students who attended Picacho Middle School for at least 2 years during their middle schools years. It is intended that the funds will provide one $1000 (non-renewable) scholarship each year to a graduating senior who plans to attend a New Mexico university, community college or vocational school in the Fall of 2020.
  • THE BONNIE BURN EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP (League of Women Voter’s of Greater Las Cruces): It is intended that the funds will provide one $1000 (non-renewable) scholarship each year to a graduating senior who plans to major in education at New Mexico State University in the College of Education in the Fall of 2020.
  • THE LCPS FOUNDATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS SCHOLARSHIP: It is intended that the funds will provide one $1000 (non-renewable) scholarship each year to a graduating senior who plans to attend any college, university or vocational school in New Mexico in the Fall of 2020.
  • THE ANAMARIA SAMANIEGO SCHOLARSHIP IN THE ARTS: It is intended that the funds will provide one $1000 (non-renewable) scholarship each year to a graduating senior who plans to major in the arts at any college or university in New Mexico in the Fall of 2020.
  • THE FELIPE SAMANIEGO MD SCHOLARSHIP: It is intended that the funds will provide one $1000 (non-renewable) scholarship each year to a graduating senior who plans to attend any college or university in New Mexico in the Fall of 2020.
  • THE MESILLA VALLEY MALE AGRICULTURE SCHOLARSHIP: It is intended that the funds will provide one $250 (non-renewable) scholarship each year to a graduating male senior who plans to attend New Mexico State University during the Fall of 2020.
  • THE MESILLA VALLEY WOMAN’S AGRICULTURE SCHOLARSHIP: It is intended that the funds will provide one $250 (non-renewable) scholarship each year to a graduating female senior who plans to attend New Mexico State University in the Fall of 2020.
  • THE BIERI FAMILY BROADCAST JOURNALISM SCHOLARSHIP: It is intended that the funds will provide one $1000 (non-renewable) scholarship each year to a graduating senior who plans to major in Broadcast Journalism at New Mexico State University in the Fall of 2020.

State/National Scholarships
