Welcome to my website!

I am a special education support services teacher.  I work at Brook Glenn Elementary School with students in grades 2 - 5.

I am very excited about how our school is providing support services for our students at Brook Glenn.  Instead of having students leave class for a support class, most of our resource students are receiving their services in their own classroom, through an inclusion model.  A few of our students are getting some intensive interventions in a small group in a support classroom, but those students are also receiving the majority of their services in their classroom.

Why did we make this change?  We want all students to gain the skills they need to be successful adults. This means they need to learn to be successful students in a regular education environment, with all of the other students.  The research shows very strongly that providing services in an inclusion environment is much more effective in helping students with special learning needs make progress in the regular education classroom.  Greenville County Schools has invested a great deal of money in making sure that we can implement inclusion services the right way and Brook Glenn is excited to be part of the first wave of schools making this change for our children.

My personal mission in education is to create lifelong learners who are contributing members of society.

I am thankful and honored by the opportunity to fulfill part of my mission by working with your child.
