This is mandatory for all concert band students. Parents, please be ready to pick up your student at 5:00.

Concert Band Rehearsal - 3:30-5:00
This is mandatory for all concert band students. Parents, please be ready to pick up your student at 5:00. The WC Friday MS Band will have their concert on this evening, so there will be no band parent meeting.
Thursday, Dec. 7
Our winter concert is scheduled for Thursday, December 7 at 7:00. Students will need to be on stage ready to play by 6:00. See below for the required concert attire
Men: Long-sleeve black dress shirt, black dress pants, long tie (no bow ties), black socks, black dress shoes
Women: Black dress pants with black blouse or long black dress (NO SKIRTS); black dress shoes (no sandals or similar open-toed shoes)
Please see the attached pictures for more info on concert attire. (Just ignore the part about the blue bow tie!)

Thank you to everyone who helped out at the game last night. That was a great way for the seniors to finish they're final home game! For this Friday's game at South Point, I would like to have dinner provided for the band before we go to the game. The last time we went to South Point, we had to wait a long time before they were ready at the concession stand. If you are willing to help us out with dinner on Friday, please sign up using this link. We are also in need of more volunteers for Saturday's competition. Fruit Sale
Our annual fruit sale has begun. Information was sent home with the students on Wednesday. This sale will continue through November 9. Our goal is for each student to sell five items. Please help us out by selling to friends, family, and area businesses. See below for more information about how to order online. Orders can be shipped to a specific address, so friends and family who live out of town can order as well. I will also send another email that you can just forward to others.

Thank you to everyone who helped at Forestview on Sunday. The band did very well, finishing within just a couple points of first place South Point. We are looking forward to hosting the Wildcat Invitational this Saturday.
Invitational Needs
We still have some needs for the Invitational, primarily in the concession stand. If you can help out by working in the concession stand, please sign up using the link below. I have added some more slots to concessions. So, if you can only work for a couple hours, sign up and comment when you can work. We also need some people to volunteer at the dressing rooms and could use some parking attendants.

If you signed up to bring pop up tents, tables, or coolers, you can bring those anytime this week. Preferably, bring those by Thursday afternoon. Please let me know when you plan to bring these items. If you cannot bring them until Friday or even Saturday morning, please let me know so we can plan accordingly.
We hope to do most of the set up on Friday, but that will be dependent on the weather. I will update you on this later in the week. For now, here is the schedule for Friday and Saturday.

Thursday Practice
On Thursday, students get out of school at 12:50. They will be able to get lunch from the cafeteria and then we will have practice from 1:30-3:30.

We still have seats available on the charter bus to the Enka contest on Saturday, September 30. All seats are $25 and everyone riding the bus will need to pay. If you would like to ride the bus with us, please respond and let me know. These seats will be on a first come first serve basis.

Good morning! Thank you to everyone who helped out at the football game Friday night. We had a great team of people working to make sure everything went smoothly. There is one change we need to make. All volunteers for this Friday's game need to be signed up in Sign Up Genius no later than Thursday at 3pm. Only those signed up by that time will be able to go through the pass gate without paying. All others will need to go through the main gate and pay the admission price for the game. Below is the link to sign up.

Football Game Meals
Students have the opportunity to place an order for their in-game meal from the concession stand. For this week's game, all orders must be placed by Wednesday, September 13. Students also need to pre-pay for their meal by placing the money in an envelope in the box in my office. This will expedite the process on Friday night. Below is the link to the order form.

Homecoming Football Game
As of now, we are planning to perform our show after the game since halftime will be taken by the homecoming court. As always, please be patient with us after games are over. It takes time for students to put away all equipment and take care of other responsibilities before we are able to dismiss. See Friday's schedule linked below.

It is time for everyone to put in their order for our marching band t-shirt. Please complete the form linked below to order your shirts. Shirts are $12 each. One form can be completed for each family and should include the shirt size for the student as well as any other family members that would like to order shirts. Shirts will be given out on the last day of band camp, August 4.

Everyone will need a black, 1" three-ring binder with plastic sheet protectors. Please try to have this by next Tuesday, July 18 if possible. If there is an issue with getting this, please let me know so I can help. Also, if you are a wind player and will not be able to use your phone for reading the stands music, please let me know so I can print the music for you.

When you come to school, you will need to park in the front student parking lot or be dropped off at the front circle. The back entrance is under construction and not accessible. Enter the school through the main entrance. You will probably have to ring the doorbell. Just tell them you are here for band practice and then come on down to the band room.
July 7, 2023
I hope everyone is enjoying summer! Our first practice is this Tuesday, July 11 from 9-11am. If you are in town, please be there. If there is an issue with transportation, please let me know so we can work something out. Nobody should ever miss a rehearsal because they don't have a ride. If you will not be able to be at rehearsal, please let me know. The success of our band is totally dependent on everyone showing up to rehearsals, so please make it a priority.
On Tuesday, we will split into sectionals and begin working on stands music. So, if you have a smartphone please bring it because we will be reading the music from the Flipfolder app. For those who cannot use their phone, we will still have the option of using the physical flip folders. On Thursday of next week, we will begin looking at the show music.
