POOL BOOKING


ALL potential users must carefully read and review
the “
Pool Policies as well as
contact the Facilities Coordinator
prior to using the FAU Aquatic Center.

  • All booking requests must be made, a minimum of 2 months prior to gaining access to the FAU pool, by fully completing and submitting the “2014 Application Form.
- ALL requests must be made to the Facilities Coordinator.
- Applications will be examined and requests will be granted based on availability, suitability, and rental terms and conditions.
- This form will be processed by the
Facilities Coordinator and the requesting party will be contacted to discuss the rental request within five business days.

--> If rental request is accepted, the requesting party will contact the Aquatic Director, to coordinate scheduling.


  • All booking requests must be followed by submitting a copy of yourLiability Insurance (COI - sample), a minimum of 1 1/2 months prior to gaining access to the FAU pool.
    
  • All booking requests must be completed by returning your signed “Contract (sample)to the Facilities Coordinator, a minimum of 1 1/2 months prior to gaining access to the FAU pool.

   

  • All booking requests must be finalized by providing  "Lifeguard Certifications" for all staff members on deck. Certifications must be on file with the Facilities Coordinator, prior to gaining access to the FAU pool.
   


In Summary, ALL Potential Users MUST submit the 4 items listed below:
            1. Application
            2. Liability Insurance (COI)    
            3. Signed Contract
            4. Lifeguard Certifications  ...
                                              ...   in advance of using the FAU Aquatic Center.

2. LIABILITY INSURANCE =

The User agrees to furnish to the University, contemporaneously with the signing of this Agreement, a Certificate of Liability Insurance (COI), naming the University as the Certificate Holder and issued in a form and by a company acceptable to the University, evidencing proof of commercial general liability insurance in an amount of at least $1,000,000 each occurrence and at least $2,000,000 general aggregate.

Such insurance shall contain the following language and such language shall be evidenced on the COI:

the Florida Atlantic University Board of Trustees, the Florida Board of Governors, the State of Florida, the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund of the State of Florida, Boca R & D Finance 16 Parcel 6, LLC, Boca R & D Project 16, LLC, Florida Atlantic Research and Development Authority, Palm Beach State College, and their respective officers, agents, volunteers and employees.” 

(This last statement must be included in the Liability Insurance verbatim)



*****  Any user who does not follow the steps outlined in the “Pool Policies” will not be allowed in the FAU Aquatic Center  *****



The reservation and use of University Facilities is a privilege and not a right.
    • The University reserves the right to refuse a request for use of University Facilities or to reassign or cancel any space reserved by any person or group.
    • The applicant will be notified in writing, as soon as practicable, of any decision refusing the request for use of space or the reassignment or cancellation of a reservation.
