Our coaches are more than willing to speak with a player, as well as their parents, about any volleyball issue except for playing time. Before contacting the coach directly, please try the following:
Your child should speak to the coach about an issue, before you intervene. This will help our Student-Athletes grow into young adults.
If the issue can’t be resolved by a player-coach discussion, contact your daughter’s coach directly by either phone or email. If the issue remains with no resolution, all inquiries may be taken up with the Athletic Director.
Understand that playing time is the decision of the coach based upon a combination of qualities (talent, attitude, coachability, and team chemistry).
Coaches will not discuss playing time of any players with parents or team members. We are willing to make suggestions as to certain skills your daughter needs to improve on as a volleyball player and these suggestions will be brought up in any 1 on 1s throughout the season.
THE 24-HOUR RULE
If you are concerned about a volleyball related issue that requires you to speak directly with a coach, we ask that you wait 24 hours after the triggering event. This way all parties will have time to collect their thoughts before communicating. Never approach a coach or attempt to discuss your daughter’s role, playing time, or participation on the team during practice or at a game. Please contact your daughter’s coach by either phone or email to schedule a time to meet and discuss the situation.
