from Palmer River Elementary, Rehoboth MA

Summary: Students create a digital portfolio and are trained in how to use the digital portfolio. They are then given a rubric that illustrates how many exhibits of work they need for each class. They are given a due date. Students then set about collecting exhibits of work during the year that satisfy the rubric. The whole process is mostly self-managed, self-driven and focuses on outcomes based education, the creation and publishing of products. All 21st century learning skills that enable the students to self-manage their learning and performance outcomes.
