Dressing
appropriately for all school functions is a way of showing Timber Trail
pride. Neatness and cleanliness are the hallmarks of appropriate
dress. Good judgment in dress is expected at Timber Trail. In an
effort to promote a safe and educationally sound environment for the
students, the following dress code will be in effect at Timber Trail
Elementary: 1. | No hair dye of unnatural color. | | | 2. | No
low-cut/revealing tops of any kind. This includes off the shoulder
tops. Tank tops must have a strap of at least three finger widths. | | | 3. | No
high-cut/revealing shorts or skirts of any kind. Shorts and skirts
must be even or longer than finger tips when arms are straight down at
sides. | | | 4. | No
beach wear (swim suits, etc.). This includes spaghetti strap, tank
tops.. Tops with spaghetti straps must be covered with a sweater or top
during the school day. | | | 5. | No clothing that suggests obscene gestures, pictures, wording and/or drugs, alcohol, or the occult. | | | 6. | Baseball caps/hats/visors may not be worn inside the building. | | | 7. | No clothing which is determined to be significant of gang association. | | | 8. | No
apparel, hairstyle or makeup which is deemed disruptive to the
educational process. No rings, bracelets or chains which may be
considered a safety hazard or used as a weapon. | | | 9. | No significantly oversized, off-the-shoulder, baggy or saggy clothing. | | | 10. | Clothing must cover undergarments. | | | 11. | Appropriate
footwear shall be worn throughout the day. Tennis shoes must be worn
on P.E. days or children will sit out for safety reasons. | | | 12. | Students should use good judgment and not wear shorts when the weather is too cool ... regardless of the month! |
