Chess Club

National Master Lior Lapid is excited to resume coaching the Timber Trail Elementary chess club!  Lior is the current Colorado State chess champion and a former two-time National Champion in the K-9 and K-12 divisions.  His teaching style is fun, engaging and humorous, and students also learn through a hands-on approach by working in teams to solve “chessercizes” covering a wide array of fundamental strategy and tactics.  Students may participate in up to three regional scholastic tournaments from October - December.

Chess Club will meet on Tuesday mornings from 7:30 am – 8:30 am, beginning on August  30th.  See attached flyer or go to www.palschess.com/schools/registration for dates and more details.
