MOVE-A-THONSEPTEMBER 24
Crazy Hair Day will be held on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 21.  ONLY students who have raised and entered at least a $5 pledge will be eligible to participate in "Crazy Hair Day".
-Students that have already registered will be coming home with a sticker today (Friday) to say they have won "Crazy Hair Day".  It's not too late! You can register online over the weekend!

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
-If you would like your child to participate in the Move-a-Thon (think Timber Trail Ninja Warrior!) then the parent/guardian MUST register online at timbertrailparents.org, AND have signed the online waiver at https://trainoc.webconnex.com/timbertrail. If not, your child will not be able to participate in the TRAIN OC obstacle course.
-Pledges should be entered online - even the envelope pledges! That way everyone can see how much has been pledged!
Please check the TTEA website to see how much money we have raised so far, class rankings by participation and the top 10 students.

There is a Jamba Juice Party for each class that has 100% participation.  No class is there yet, but Mrs Petau's kindergarten class is close!
Don't forget that for each $10.00 your child raises, AND for each pledge entered online, your child will receive a raffle ticket for a drawing to win a Star Lab Portable Planetarium Private Night hosted by our very own librarian, Dawn Smith!

Volunteers are needed for the Move-a-Thon! If you are interested in volunteering, please visit the TTEA website for more information.

Please email moveathon2015@gmail.com with any questions.

ATTENDANCE DOES MATTER - PLEASE BE IN ATTENDANCE OCTOBER 1
Every October, school districts across Colorado are mandated by state law to count their students. This number is incredibly important, because the headcount is used to determine how much state funding each district-- and in turn, each school-- receives.

While Douglas County School District always encourages student attendance and participation, October 1 is important because of its direct impact on funding, it is just one day. If students are too sick to go to school or must be absent for another important reason, the District does have an ability to report updated numbers.
