PAINT RECYCLING EVENT

MaT “JUST MOVE IT” SEPTEMBER 22!!  WE ARE HALFWAY TO OUR GOAL!
This year’s Move-a-Thon (MaT) will take place on Thursday, September 22, 2016 during the school day.  The MaT is a health initiative where all TTE students will move through eight stations consisting of exercises and obstacles.  Each child receives a t-shirt and participates in this fun day.  We are asking each child to recruit donors to sponsor their exercises which will help raise money for our school.

This will be our fourth Move-a-Thon. 100% of the money raised goes to Timber Trail Elementary. The money helps to offset budget reductions our school has faced the last several years. Our goal this year is to raise $50,000!  The money raised will allow us to maintain our well known standards of excellence. We want everyone to know that every penny really does count.  Proceeds raised by the Move-a-Thon will pay for the following:
  • Librarian for our school
  • Materials and supplies to create a Makerspace
  • Math In Focus workbooks in every grade
  • PBL unit materials and literacy materials
  • Replacement of non-working document cameras and projectors
  • Much more!
The Move-a-Thon is the ONLY organized fundraiser of the year for TTEA (our parent organization).

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR THE UPCOMING MOVE-A-THON!

ATTENDANCE DOES MATTER - PLEASE BE IN ATTENDANCE SEPTEMBER 22!

Every school district across Colorado are mandated by state law to count their students. This number is incredibly important, because the headcount is used to determine how much state funding each district-- and in turn, each school-- receives.

While Douglas County School District always encourages student attendance and participation, September 22 is important because of its direct impact on funding, it is just one day. If students are too sick to go to school or must be absent for another important reason, the District does have an ability to report updated numbers.

LEGACY VILLAGE UPDATE
