MAY 20 TTE End of Year family picnic at Coyote Ridge Park 3:30 pm-dusk 24 Last day of school! Dear Timber Trail Families, It is hard to believe that we are down to only seven days of school for this year. The last weeks of school are filled with a flurry of activities; staff appreciation, 2nd/3rd grade choir concert, variety show, 5th grade dance, 4th grade invention convention, end of year parties, etc. For the past couple of years two of these activities have happened on the same day; Kindergarten Orientation and the first day of Outdoor Education for 5th grade. I have come to look upon that day as a representation of the circle of life at TTE. We start the morning by loading the buses for Outdoor Ed with luggage, sleeping bags, and 5th graders who are full of excitement, expectations, and feelings of nervousness about the unknown. As students drop off their luggage in the gym, some are so excited for the adventure that I have to remind them to say good-bye to their parents. Others stand close to mom and dad, hesitant to be away from home for the first time. That same evening I stand again in the gym and welcome the parents of our incoming kindergarteners. I know that on the first day of school in August I will see similar looks on the faces of those 5 year olds as I did on the 5th graders that morning. In both instances parents are sending their babies to brand new experiences and chapter in their lives. We at TTE are proud and honored to be a part of your child's educational and life experiences. PARENT ACCESS TO ELEMENTARY PROGRESS REPORT Progress reports (EPRs) will be available to parents/guardians on Thursday, May 26. Thank you for your cooperation. LOST AND FOUND Missing a jacket, sweatshirt or lunch box? Please check our Lost and Found area in the cafeteria when you are here for end of year parties.
