MOVE-A-THON-TOMORROW, MAY 2
We are very excited about our 3rd Annual Move-a-Thon tomorrow, May 2nd. The Move-a-Thon is an event where all kids at Timber Trail exercise at different stations for 60 minutes and can solicit pledges for their participation. This fundraiser allows TTEA to:
Purchase the Math Workbooks for each grade
Pays for our School Librarian
Pays for Project Based Learning supplies
Provides monies to Teachers for Classroom Supplies
Ensures we have the technology needed for our 21st century learners
Log on to the TTEA website at www.timbertrailparents.org and visit the Pledge Drive Participation page to get your kids enrolled for the pledge drive, get your hands on the unique website link that can be shared online and via email, and to enter the envelope (in-person) pledges they receive by cash or check.  Remember that all money must be collected by Friday, May 2nd, so if your child is collecting checks and cash they must be collected at the time the pledge is made (not after the Move-a-Thon). Questions?  Please email move-a-thon@timbertrailparents.org

SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR 2014-2015
Timber Trail Elementary offers the EduKit program as an option for our busy families to order
supplies for the upcoming school year. The program is a time saving, simple way for you to
ensure that your student has exactly the correct supplies needed to start the year off right. Avoid the back-to-school rush and going from store to store to get all of the required items. EduKit will take care of that for you.
Order by June 10 for the "Early Bird" discount and free shipping. Your child's kit will be on their desk the first day of school. To order:
1. Go to www.edukitinc.com.
2. Type "Timber Trail" into the "Find Your School" field.
3. Pay online through EduKit's secure website.
After June 10, kits may be purchased online through EduKit's Last Chance program until
July 20. Last Chance kits will be delivered to your home shortly before school begins.
There is an additional fee for Last Chance kits.
Thank you for your participation in the EduKit program!

CLOTHING DRIVE CHALLENGE-RED APPLE RECYCLING ENDS MAY 7
Clean out your closets. Help Timber Trail raise money.
Please bring your gently and beyond gently used clothing and shoes back to school and help us fill up the Red Apple Recycling donation box located in the bus loop.
For every pound we collect, the school will earn money to help pay for sustainability and wellness programs throughout the year.  For more information visit www.redapplerecycling.com

MAY 23-LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!
This is a different date than what is listed on the DCSD conventional calendar (Wednesday, May 28, 2014). Timber Trail students will end their school year before Memorial Day.  This change is possible because of the five minutes added to our start time.  Tuesday, May 27 and Wednesday, May 28 will be used as professional development days for the TTE staff. Again, this change is only for Timber Trail, not the entire district.
