Important: Dress Code

Hello TTE familes,
With the warmer spring weather upon us, we want to remind you of TTE's Dress Code which is outlined below.  In particular, a reminder about the acceptable length for shorts, skirts, and dresses.  Our policy is that shorts/skirts/dresses must be as long as the tip of the student's finger tips when hands are down at their sides.  Our policy also states that shorts or tights be worn under skirts and dresses.
If students come to school wearing attire shorter than our policy, a staff member or the student (depending on age) will make a call home to have appropriate clothing brought to school that the student can change into.
A reminder that spaghetti straps must be covered with a shirt or sweater.  Also, off the shoulder tops are not allowed at school.
We ask that you spend a few moments going over TTE's Dress Code with your student.
Thank you for your help and support.
Michele Radke,

 1. No low-cut/revealing tops of any kind. This includes off the shoulder tops. Tank tops must have a strap of at least three finger widths.
 2. No high-cut/revealing shorts or skirts of any kind.  Shorts and
skirts must be even with or longer than finger tips when arms are straight
down at sides.
 3. No beach wear (swim suits, etc.).  This includes spaghetti strap,
tank tops, and flip flops.  Tops with spaghetti straps must be covered with a sweater or top during the school day.
 4. No clothing that suggests obscene gestures, pictures, wording and/or drugs, alcohol, or the occult.
 5. Baseball caps/hats/visors may not be worn inside the building.
 6. No clothing which is determined to be significant of gang association.
 7. No apparel, hairstyle or makeup which is deemed disruptive to the
educational process. No rings, bracelets or chains which may be considered a safety hazard or used as a weapon.
 8. No significantly oversized, off-the-shoulder, baggy or saggy clothing.
 9. Clothing must cover undergarments.
10. Appropriate footwear shall be worn throughout the day.  Tennis
shoes must be worn on P.E. days or children will sit out for safety reasons.
11. Students should use good judgment  and not wear shorts when the
weather is too cool ... regardless of the month!

Timber Team needs your help! Did you know that according to the 2014 Kids Count in Colorado, 224,611 children live in poverty and 41.9% qualify for free or reduced lunch? We want to help this community by partnering with the organization, A Precious Child. In order to best support this organization, Timber Team invites TTE to participate in "A Precious Child Week Spirit Week." This will be like a traditional spirit week from April 20-23Each day, students can participate in the different spirit week theme by either bringing in at least $1 and/or a requested supply. The organization's greatest needs are for the following supplies: gently used children's clothing, shoes, backpacks and school supplies, sporting equipment, and stuffed animals. They also request new socks, underwear, and diapers, as well as monetary donations. Any and all members of our TTE community are welcome to participate!
Our Timber Team representatives chose the following themes:
Monday, April 20- Dress Like a Teacher Day
Tuesday, April 21- Sport Jersey/Hat Day
Wednesday, April 22- Decade Day
Thursday, April 23- Crazy Hair Day and/or Beach Wear Day (no swim suits)
Thanks for helping out Timber Team with this important fundraiser!

See attachment below for what is happening in Specials!

Our TTE community has raised over $22,500 by using and reloading their King Soopers Scrip card (all at no additional cost to you)!  This support allows us to have one formal fundraiser next year, Move-a-thon. If you need to purchase additional scrip cards, we have them for sale in the office. A shout out to Jacqueline Blaeser for her amazing efforts with the scrip program this year.
Thanks again for your continued support.  Keep on shopping!!

Spring is in the air!   Clean out your closets and help Timber Trail raise money.

Please bring the following items to help fill our Red Apple Recycling donation box which is located in the bus loop:

ANY type of clean clothing

- Shoes

- All other household textiles

- Toys & stuffed animals

- Belts, purses & backpacks

For every pound we collect the school will earn money to help pay for sustainability and wellness programs throughout the year.  Last fall TTE was the winning school in Douglas County for pounds of donations collected.  This gave us an extra $750, for a total of  $1,200!
