 Dear TTE Families,

I want to thank you for your support in providing the opportunity for our teachers to attend the CCIRA (Colorado Council of International Reading Association) conference last week.  The conference proved to be inspiring, invigorating, and rejuvenating.  Everyone came back with ideas and instructional strategies to use immediately.  The focus of our PLC day tomorrow will be on sharing those ideas and taking time to incorporate them into literacy plans.

Please take a moment to visit the TTE Website.  On the homepage you will find a short presentation outlining some of the great speakers and presenters we saw with links to their websites.  One of the most memorable for me was Dr. Adolph Brown.  His message of living, teaching, and parenting by the "4 F's; Fun, Fair, Firm, and Faith" was truly inspiring.  A few of his statements that resonated with me were;
     -"Once you judge someone you lose the ability to relate to them."
     -"A little bit of boredom is good because it stimulates creativity and
       imagination."
     -"Humankind; remember to be both"

While the immediate benefit of the conference was to the teachers, the ultimate benefit will be to the students.  Again, thank you for your support which made this possible.  We are truly blessed to have such a supportive community.

Have a wonderful long weekend.

Michele Radke
Principal
