THIRD GRADE STUDENTS BECOME PLAYGROUND ENGINEERS; RESPONSIBLE FOR NEW PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT AT COYOTE RIDGE PARK!!!

As part of their ‘Putting the Pieces Together’ PBL unit, third grade students became playground engineers tasked with modifying a play space to meet the needs of children with autism.  For their project summative they created a presentation with their suggestions and presented their findings to the CPN Metro District and Parks Authority. The students were thrilled to learn that because of their work five new pieces of playground equipment will be installed at Coyote Ridge Park in the next few months.

GREAT MUSIC AT THE RCHS FEEDER BAND CONCERT

Congratulations to our 4th and 5th grade band students who participated in the RCHS Feeder Band Concert on Thursday evening.  Elementary, middle and high school band groups performed individually and then altogether for the grand finale to a full house.

“THERE WITH CARE” VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION - NOVEMBER 9 OR NOVEMBER 19

Thank you for your donations so far!  We will continue collecting the following items through Thanksgiving Break.  Collection bins are located throughout the school.

Donations items include:

* Baby Wash/ Shampoo/ Lotion

* Baby Teething Toys and Pacifiers

* Diapers and Diaper Wipes

Volunteer training includes an overview of There With Care programs and best practices, a description of the opportunities available to help support children and families, and an orientation of the There With Care warehouse. Trainings are for adults and accompanied minors 12 years and over and last approximately 90 minutes.

MORNING DROP OFF STARTS AT 8:20 AM

When dropping off in the morning, please remember that students need to stay inside cars until school staff are outside. We have had students exiting vehicles early and are outside unsupervised for 5-10 minutes.  Staff will go out at 8:20am and will be wearing orange vests. Thank you for helping keep our students safe.

 

LOST AND FOUND

Jackets, sweaters, hats, water bottles are overtaking the cafeteria!  Please stop by the cafeteria and check for lost items.  Smaller items are at the front office (sunglasses, car keys, jewelry, etc). Items will be donated to a local charity December 21.

IN THE EVENT OF A DELAYED START

Timber Trail Elementary's start time is 10:00 am (10:05 am tardy bell), with a drop off time starting at 9:50 am. Bus routes are on a 90 minute delayed schedule. Morning enrichment classes are canceled. Child care (B.A.S.E.) is also on a 90 minute delayed start. During a delay, morning preschool and kindergarten programs are canceled. Full-day preschool and kindergarten programs operate on a 90-minute delay. Decisions about before school activities are generally made on a school-by-school basis. Dismissal time does not change. All students will dismiss at 3:30 pm.

As always, safety comes first. If parents choose to keep children home for safety concerns, we will respect that decision. Please call the Attendance Line at 303.387.5702 if your child will not be in class.
