Dear TTE Families,

It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving is only one week away.  It is my favorite holiday as it is all about food, family, friends, and food!  It is also a wonderful opportunity to give thanks for the many blessings we have.

This week we are also able to give back and pay it forward.  Thank you for supporting our "Red Apple Recycling" drive.  The TTE community has filled our Red Apple Recycling house 6-7 times, with about 20 bags coming in just this morning.  While we once again hope to win the contest for most pounds of clothing and textiles collected, we are also supporting a very worthwhile cause.  Please visit the Red Apple Recycling link to learn more.

I want to give a special shout out to our first grade students and teachers. This year they developed a new PBL unit titled, "Rock Our World".  The driving question for this unit is, "How can we as stewards of the Earth raise awareness of limited natural resources while supporting those in need?"

They integrated science, social studies, and the 4Cs (creativity, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking) and in the process created a new holiday for TTE.  Our first "Stone Soup" day will be celebrated tomorrow.  Chef Jason from DCSD will be on hand to help our first graders serve stone soup to the school.  But most importantly these young students have learned how to support those in need by providing an opportunity for sustainability through the purchase of livestock.  This will be done through the organization Heifer International.  If you would like to help, please send in your contribution tomorrow ( Friday, November 21).

Due to the short week we will not be sending out an email blast next Tuesday. On behalf of the Timber Trail staff I want to wish you and your family a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving.  Thank you for helping TTE be the school "Where Hearts and Minds Connect".

Please visit the TTE website mid December for information and forms.

ATTENDANCE- 303.387.5702
We have noticed an increase in tardies at Timber Trail. In the last 2 days, we have had close to 50 unexcused tardies!!
It is important that children arrive to school on time.  A tardy child not only disrupts the class when arriving late, but he/she misses an important part of academic learning time.
First bell:  8:30 am
Tardy bell: 8:35 am  (Student must be in the classroom.)
Please call the 24 hour attendance line at 303.387.5702 by 8:30 am with any attendance issues.
