Dear TTE Families,

It is hard to believe that fall break is already here.  The first quarter of the year has certainly flown by.  This is my favorite time of year, with the slightly cooler temperatures and colorful leaves.  The mountains get their first dusting of snow and the sky is an incredible shade of blue.

I wanted to thank you once again for your support.  We just received our latest shipment of hokki stools.  I recently learned that it is pronounced "hockey" and is German for stool. Each classroom now has at least six of these stools for students to use.  Attached is a picture of the 150 stools set up in the Town Square waiting to go to their new homes.  You should have seen the look on the students' faces as they came across that scene yesterday.

Friday is the first day of your student's fall break.  It is also the first day of break for our teachers.  On the DCSD calendar it shows that Friday is a teacher work day.  We actually traded out Friday and the other two teacher work days (in December and March) and used these days during the first week in August to participate in professional development.

Tomorrow I am headed off to Nashville for a wedding.  It will be my first time there, and I can't wait.  After that I will be spending time with mom and her husband in the Ozarks of northern Arkansas, not far from Branson, MO.  On behalf of the staff of Timber Trail, I want to thank you for your continued support and wish you and your family a fun and relaxing fall break.

Michele Radke, Principal

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION and LABELS FOR EDUCATION -DUE DATE OCTOBER 24!
Timber Trail receives 10 cents for every Box Top submitted! Last year, we raised over $1500 for our school, just by clipping Box Tops.  We will be collecting Box Tops on OCTOBER 24th and again on February 20th.  The classroom that has collected the most Box Tops, wins a Pizza Party!  Start clipping and saving those Box Tops.

We will be starting a new campaign to collect Labels for Education - these "points" can be exchanged for various items our school could use - from basketballs to paint supplies to iPads!
Labels can be found on over 2,500 foods and snacks that you already use, including Campbell's soup, V8, Goldfish, Emerald nuts, Pepperidge Farm cookies and Dannon yogurts and more.
Click here to download a full list of products.
You can send them in with your box tops and we'll do the rest!
Box Tops and Labels for Education due dates are October 24 and February 20!

Have a great fall break!  See you on Monday, October 20!
