Dear TTE Families,
It is hard to believe that a fourth of our year is done, and we are heading into fall break.
I wanted to share with you what our certified staff worked on during the Professional Learning Community (PLC) Day last Friday.  One of our professional development focuses this year is around the process of inquiry.  We spent time as a staff discussing how to plan for, assess, and guide students through inquiry opportunities.
A wonderful example of this was Wednesday with the summative project for the the third grade PBL unit, "Putting the Pieces Together".  Students collaborated in small groups to research, plan and design a playground that would benefit and support autistic children.  Presentations were made to a panel of adults who have a variety of experiences and expertise with autism.  Through these presentations, which included both technology and paper plans, it was evident that students had become deeply engaged, knowledgeable and passionate about their discoveries and creations.
Of course, none of this would be possible without your continued support, and we thank you for that.

On behalf of the staff, I wish you a relaxing and safe fall break.

Michele Radke
Principal
