Dear TTE Families, I hope you had a great fall break and were able to enjoy our beautiful fall days. I want to once again thank you for your support of our Move-a-Thon in September. Over break our MakerSpace came together. During our Teacher Workday on Monday we spent two fun hours exploring, creating, and working through various challenges in our new space. Teams thought of ways to integrate the MakerSpace into PBL units, math, specials, and literacy. We also began coming up with norms for the use of the space and materials. Teachers had a wonderful time and are excited to share the space with their students. Our goal is that each student will have at least one MakerSpace experience per quarter. We see the MakerSpace as a way to support students’ creativity and ingenuity as they explore multiple solutions to problems and challenges. Again, we thank you for your continued support and helping make Timber Trail the school “Where Hearts and Minds Connect.”

HALLOWEEN PARTIES AND PARKING REMINDERS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 28 Halloween is just around the corner. All Halloween parties will be held Friday, October 28th. Students are asked to bring a change of clothes in a bag clearly marked with their name. After the parties, students will change into their school clothes, and then it is business as usual for the rest of the day. A reminder that no weapons or replicas of weapons are allowed as part of a costume. This includes guns, swords, knives, light sabers, etc. Also, no blood or gore at school. If you have a question regarding a costume, please contact your child's teacher. Adult visitors must sign in at the front office and show a photo ID. We request that adult visitors DO NOT wear costumes or masks. With the parking restrictions on Bristolwood and Deer Clover Way cul-de-sac, please plan accordingly for parking during the Halloween parties. We encourage carpooling or parking in adjacent neighborhoods. Just a reminder that the streets in the Village Homes development to the east of TTE (Bristolwood Dr. and Bristolwood Ln.) are private and parking is not allowed within that neighborhood. Please be aware of the "No Parking" signs and restrictions in the Deer Clover Way cul-de-sac. Cars are not allowed to stop in the cul-de-sac to drop off or pick up students between 8:00-9:00 am and 3:00-4:00 pm. Please be mindful of where you are parking on the street so that you are not blocking a neighbor's drive. We appreciate your help with keeping our neighborhoods and streets safe for our students.
