Last semester, our school worked to promote student wellness and achieve the goal of every student in Douglas County knowing when they need help and where to get help. This month students will review topics covered throughout the first semester. Students will review how to identify & communicate their feelings, how to help a friend in need, how & when to report and healthy habits. Based on students’ developmental levels, teachers will explore this topic in the classroom with their students. We encourage you to support our efforts by discussing these topics with your child. Topics may include: Discussing the concept of A.C.T. (Acknowledge, Care, Tell) when helping a friend in need and/or reviewing possible healthy habits they may employ. Your child’s safety is of the utmost importance, and Timber Trail Elementary will do all we can to support every student’s well-being. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. Please consider the resources offered on the PREVENTION and SCHOOL CULTURE website and determine if they may be appropriate for your family. In Partnership, Michele Radke, Principal Nicole Goering, Licensed School Psychologist
