One Book, One School
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
Purpose: Creating a community of readers through a family and school-wide book club.
How does it work: Families will reserve a book at a discounted cost (5.00) or find their own. Spend time each night reading the book together/individually. Each week a chapter(s) will be assigned. There will be trivia contests for the entire school and classroom follow ups on their readings. We will conclude the book club with a family movie night here in the gym.
HERE is a link to the benefits of One Book, One School.
Timeline: Begin reading on March 27th and movie night will be April 14th
We want this to be a fun community wide participation opportunity.
HERE is the order form to reserve your copy of the book. Please fill out the form and bring it to the office by March 3rd.
This year we contracted with a new school photographer, Dorian Studios, for our fall and spring photo sessions. With a new photographer comes changes.
Yesterday, the spring photo session created some confusion and we have voiced our concerns to the photographers. Dorian Studios has agreed to come back out morning, , to take individual photos of any and all students that would like to have a spring individual photo taken. They will also take individual photos of all of the 6th grade students for their 6th Grade Continuation Certificate.
New order envelopes will be sent to us in the next week and we will send them home with your student in their folder. We will also send out updated information as the date approaches in our TBE Weekly Newsletter that is sent to you on Thursdays.
Please accept our apologies for the confusion and any inconvenience this may have caused.
