About me

My name is Andi Skolout and I am so excited to be spending this next year with you and your 6th grade student.  I have been teaching in the district for over ten years. This will be my third year teaching 6th grade math here at SCE. I feel I have really found a home here. I love teaching in DCSD.  Teaching is a second career for me and I graduated from Regis University of Denver.  I consider myself a life long learner.  I am proud to have a son that graduated in the district and love where we live!  I have been married to my best friend for just over 23 years.  We have lived in Douglas County for over 18 years with our son and our pets.  We have two miniature dachshunds, Sophie and Wishbone, and they rule our world. I love reading a variety of genres, watching almost all sports and riding our motorcycle whenever it is possible.
I have high expectations of all my students in their learning and behaviors. At this point in a students' educational career I believe they should know and show respect, responsibility, and a resolve to learning to the best of their ability.  I love what I do and I work very hard to ensure my students are learning, and hopefully, loving learning. I look forward to a great year!!
