Welcome Letter

Dear Fourth Grader-

Welcome to Fourth Grade!  I am looking forward to meeting you and your parents at meet your teacher and supply drop off on Tuesday, August 7th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. At this time your parents will be able to sign-up to help volunteer in our classroom. On this day you will need to bring your supplies and if you ordered EPI kits they will hopefully be waiting in our classroom when you arrive. We will work on labeling and sorting our supplies on the first day of school.
Fourth grade is a wonderful year where you will work through Colorado history, exploring the causes and effects on how our land became this beautiful state. You will participate in many science experiments as you discover patterns in the sun, moon, and stars, electrical circuits, and life cycles throughout different ecosystems. We will dive deeper into long multiplication and division, as well as fractions and decimals in math. This year will be full of new exciting adventures and I will be here to guide you through this journey.

I look forward to meeting you on August 9th and beginning our new adventure together. If you or your parents have any questions please feel free to email me at lindsay.esparza@dcsdk12.org.
