Mrs. Mann's Classroom

Welcome to Mrs. Mann's Classroom!!!

“If you are a dreamer, come in.

If you are a dreamer, a wisher,

a liar, a hoper, a prayer,

a magic-bean-buyer.

If you're a pretender, come sit by my fire,

for we have some flax-golden tales to spin.

Come in! Come in!”

 Dear Students,

It’s me, Mrs. Mann, your third grade teacher!  I hope you are as excited as I am to begin our new learning adventure together!  I can promise you it will be a year of discovery and learning that you will always remember!  I am looking so forward to meeting you and learning all about you!

To begin, you might want to know a little about me! I have been teaching for 21 years.  This will be my 20th year in Douglas County where I have taught grades 3, 4, 5, ¾ combo, and a 4/5 Discovery class.  I LOVE being a teacher and I LOVE learning together with my students.  Prior to coming to Colorado, I substitute taught in San Jose, California. Since coming to Douglas County School District, I have been an Apple Teacher Finalist, recognized by 9News as "A Teacher Who Cares," and I am a National Board Certified Teacher.

I was born in Newark, New Jersey and lived in New Jersey until I was 23 years old when I moved to San Jose, California to complete college. I graduated from San Jose State University with a BA in Liberal Arts. I earned my graduate degree, an MA in Education here in Colorado.  I have five children of my own---not to mention the hundreds of children that have learned with me in my classroom through the years. All of my students will always be “one of my kids!” Please feel free to contact me at my email address: Nancy.Mann@dcsdk12.org . I am so excited to be a part of  the Wrangler family!

                                                              Love,

                                                             Mrs. Mann
