Computers at SRE

First, take a look at what we have for our technology allocation
at SRE and how we use Technology in a meaningful way by CLICKING HERE

SRE Parents:
At Saddle Ranch we support a POD (Personally Owned Device- see form attached) program in grades 2-6. This allows students to bring their own computers or tablets to school. The goal is to leverage these devices, so that students have access to learning applications and online information throughout the school day, not just when they are in a computer lab or when using school-owned devices. With the continued use of Google Apps for Education, our goal is for every student to eventually have their own personal computer throughout the school day.   We believe this level of access to technology is vital in preparing our students for the world in which they live.  A 1-to-1 initiative allows students to be worldwide researchers and empower them to take control of their own personalized learning. It also enables students to use their understanding of technology for the betterment of their education.

For the 2016-2017 school year, we are excited to be able to offer the Parent Purchase Program at SRE! This program is completely optional, and it enables parents to take advantage of the educational discounts offered to the District! These Chromebooks are the property of each family and not part of the school inventory.

Purchasing information may be found at the following LINK

FYI= Some helpful hints from parents who have already ordered:
-DO NOT be concerned when you see the "out of stock" for all of the units.  The GovConnection Co. will not show inventory for the Chromebooks. They are all custom built units, so once an order is placed it is typically 2 weeks for delivery.

Looking forward to a great year!
