I am so excited to join the Redstone learning community this year.  This is my 12th year in the DCSD.  I have been fortunate to be an EA in SPED, an RtI Interventionist, and a 3rd grade and 6th grade classroom teacher.  My family and I live in Highlands Ranch.  I have been married 23 years and have two sons.  Andrew is 21 and Grant is 17.  I am passionate about engaging all learners and helping students reach their potential academically, socially, and emotionally.  I am thrilled to begin my new journey at RSE.

My teaching career started in 1993. I taught in a number of different states including North Dakota, Florida, Wisconsin, and Colorado. I started at Redstone in 2006, and I have been an interventionist here since 2011.  I am excited to welcome my new team, and I look forward to helping even more students learn.

My teaching career began in 2002 in Massachusetts. We moved to Colorado in 2007 and I started with Douglas County in 2009. I joined this fabulous Redstone community in 2013 where I have been the Librarian, Kindergarten teacher, and now proudly a member of the RTI team. I am so excited to support our students in this role and to help them grow!

This is the beginning of my fourth year at RSE.  I am excited to be part of MTSS this year as well.   I have been with DCSD for 13 years and I love working with all the grades in this elementary school.  I was born in Israel but raised in California.  I have been living in Highlands Ranch for 21 years with my husband and daughter.  I also have an energetic cattle  dog named Gizmo!

Tanya Twete

Gifted and Talented
Facilitator

I'm Tanya Marchman-Twete and I will be joining Redstone Elementary this year as the Gifted and Talented Facilitator. I am so excited for my new role and it's ability to allow me to work with both students and teachers closely to provide support in their successes. I have taught both 4th and 5th grade in Douglas County for 4 years. I feel so lucky to have been surrounded by amazing educators who have pushed my learning in many ways of teaching. Before moving to Colorado, I was the director of a private preschool that specialized in project based learning with an emphasis on a P-3 alignment with our school district. Because of these experiences, I'm keenly aware of making learning interesting, fun, hands on, and most importantly student goal driven. In a nutshell, personalizing the learning experience for each child's individual needs and interests. I look forward to getting to know and working with your child.

I’ve been in this district for eleven years, taught in Texas for 20 years, and in Cherry Creek School District for three years. I love working with all students and learning about them and how I can best help them be successful at school. I am 3 ½ years cancer free and love to hang out with family and friends as often as possible.
